Panda, Cowboy, and one very large cat

Well, friends,

Panda and Cowboy are playing guitar on the beach. There's a copy of I'd Rather Be Playing Guitar floating above them. And a fifty-foot orange cat has decided this is a dance party.

Naturally, the cat also has rainbow lasers coming out of its eyes. Apparently, dancing wasn't enough.

That's the little world we made for the new book commercial. The guitar you hear is my own recording, and the whole beach adventure—including the book's end card—fits into nineteen seconds.

I like seeing these different pieces of my work meet: the book, the characters, and the music. The cat may be a bit much, but I don't think anyone invited it for its restraint.

That is what these letters are for: a look at what I'm making and the stories that turn up along the way. Sometimes a book, sometimes a drawing, sometimes a tune. Occasionally, a cat you would need a very large sofa to accommodate.
